For the First Time

I am starting to realize that real life is so much better than books.

You can't throw real life at the wall when you're bored of it though.

here's a story for you-> years ago I used to live on the computer. For a thyme I was a kid who had about one friend in real life and a dozen friends who were in England that I met on the computer. Won day, I saw what was going on with my life and it just hit me so hard with sadness. and I logged off all the websites and chat stuff without saying goodbye and I just didn't log back on. I understand escaping to something that seems better than real life and missing out on life.
I just had a conversation yesterday with a friend about fiction-- I twitter-asked "What good is entertainment that just tells a lie about how happy and good things are?"
She twitter said "It helps us forget how unhappy and bad things can be, and gives us hope for happiness and goodness."
My question back was-- why forget? is escapism healthy, or just easy?
